The Family Devotion, Welcome!
Hello!
I am writing this blog because I want to be proactive about teaching and training the character of my children. It’s also good for me as a man, husband, and father to continually be sharpening these. Oh, how life dulls the senses, the will, the strength.
When I say proactive about teaching what I mean is intentional. I can accidentally teach how to cut a 2×4 or how to dial a phone call, but things like sharing, honesty, and forgiveness, are things I don’t want to be accidental about. These are lessons I have a responsibility – a biblical mandate – to teach. And there is no replacement for a father taking his children and instructing them in the way they should go.
- “Fathers, don’t exasperate your children by coming down hard on them. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master.” (Ephesians 6:4)

Excellent reason to write this blog, I look forward to reading more.
Thank you, Sir! I look forward to writing more!
